Government as Good as Its People

The Pennsylvania House of Representatives is one of two houses of Pennsylvania’s state legislature. As your representative, I will fight for the regional rail, reproductive freedoms, and public schools. I will represent you with integrity and character.

I decided to run for state representative while packed in a two-car, 45-minute-late SEPTA train. I decided to run as my friend struggled to access reproductive healthcare due to the closure of a local clinic. I decided to run after my neighbor, a former LMSD student, changed schools to avoid ever-increasing class sizes.

I refuse to wait for another fire to engulf a SEPTA train, for the Republicans to take the governorship and restrict abortion access, or for our children’s education to continue to slip.

Public Transit

Our trains and buses must be safe. As a commuter, I'll add - they must be reliable, on-time, and accessible in their routes and pricing.

SEPTA workers must be supported and paid a living wage. Having fought for Penn's first union and proudly worked as a card-carrying unionist, I have tremendous respect for organized labor.

I will work with Senate Republicans and collar-county leadership to secure SEPTA’s future for commuters and workers.

Reproductive Rights

Reproductive freedoms, including access to abortion and IVF, must be protected. Simply put, the state should not join you in the doctor’s office.

I will oppose all efforts to restrict or criminalize abortion care, protect access to contraception, and work to ensure that reproductive care remains safe, legal, and accessible.

I will take the baton and continue fighting for legislation like Representative Daley’s reproductive freedoms series: HBs 1640, 1641, 1643, and 1644.

Public Schools

Our public schools must receive the necessary resources to succeed. They are the bedrock of our community and our pathway to a better future.

Affordability is the new battle cry; let’s apply it to the institutions that build us. When I think of affordability, I think of avoiding $50,000 private high school tuition and still receiving an excellent education.

As the only candidate to have graduated from our public school system, I have a unique perspective on the issue. Sane education policy (and funding) is rooted in Harrisburg.

At the core of my platform is service to you—my neighbor. I will be present, professional, and personal.

Present

System candidates and career politicians spend their time at fancy events. Not me. If I am not in Harrisburg fighting for you, I will be in the district office every single day with my door wide open. It doesn’t matter who you are or how you feel; my job will be to listen and then act.

Professional

Transparency is professionalism manifest. If elected, I will make the radical pledge of publishing my reasoning for every vote I cast in Harrisburg. If I make a mistake, I will be the first to admit it.

Moreover, you can trust that I’ll be there for you in bow tie style.

Personal

Sometimes all it takes is faith to make the leap. I’m here, running for office, because one day, years ago, Representative Daley responded to a letter I wrote to her. She took a chance on me. I’ll do the same for you and all our neighbors.
